2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L PCM ECM ECU | Engine Computer Programmed Plug & Play | 68090875AG

Replace your failed engine computer with an OEM 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L PCM (also called an ECM or ECU), programmed to your vehicle before it ships.

This module is a direct replacement for units carrying service number 68090875AG, generic number 05150608AC. Every unit is refurbished, bench-tested against OEM specification, and flashed with the latest manufacturer software.

Also replaces: 68157306AA, 68157303AB

Getting the right calibration for your Wrangler

The JK generation ran from 2007 to 2018, using the 3.8L V6 through 2011 and the 3.6L Pentastar V6 from 2012 onward. Calibration differs by year and engine, so a module from a different year will not simply drop in. Earlier Wranglers carry Mopar 56029 series part numbers, while 2010 and newer units use the Mopar 68 series and the Bosch supplied 05150 series. Read the service number from the label on your existing module, or send us your VIN and we will identify the correct unit.

Important: if an ignition coil killed your module

On the 3.6L Pentastar, and on the earlier 4.0L inline six, a shorted ignition coil can push voltage back into the PCM coil driver circuit and destroy it. If that is what happened to yours, replace every coil and the spark plugs at the same time as the module, using OEM parts, or the replacement will fail the same way. The same fault can also stop the alternator charging the battery.

Check the PCM connector pins too

JK Wranglers are known for connector pin corrosion and intermittent sensor ground faults that produce drivability problems easily mistaken for a dead computer. A damaged pin on the PCM C2 harness can cause a sensor ground loss. Inspect the connector for corroded or damaged crimps before deciding the module has failed.

No core charge, and no core to send back

Several suppliers of Wrangler modules only offer a repair service where you post your own unit in and wait weeks for it to return. Others require a core exchange before the warranty becomes active. We do neither. Your module ships programmed and ready, there is no core charge and nothing to return, and the lifetime warranty starts the day it ships.

What you receive

  • Programmed to your VIN before dispatch, so it installs plug and play
  • Bench-tested by our technicians before it leaves us
  • Lifetime warranty for as long as you own the Jeep
  • Free US shipping, typically delivered in 2-4 business days
  • No core charge, no core return required

Common symptoms of a failed Wrangler PCM

  • Engine cranks but will not start
  • Random stalling where the engine cuts out but restarts immediately
  • Misfire codes that will not clear after replacing coils
  • Voltage regulator failure, so the battery is not charging properly
  • P0600, P0601 or P0606 internal module codes
  • No communication with a scan tool

Before you order
