Replace your failed injection driver module (IDM) with an OEM 1996 Ford F-Series 7.3L Power Stroke unit, programmed and tested before it ships.
This module is a direct replacement for units carrying reference GL-4020. Every unit is refurbished, bench-tested against OEM specification, and flashed with the latest manufacturer software.
Is it the IDM or the PCM?
On the 7.3L Power Stroke Power Stroke the PCM is the primary computer, but it works alongside the IDM and the glow plug control module. Hard starting, a no start, stalling and rough running can come from any of them. The IDM generates the high voltage that fires the injectors, so a failure often produces a crank with no start at all, or a miss on specific cylinders.
Before replacing anything, have the IDM output voltage checked with a scan tool. A healthy IDM delivers a consistent firing signal to every injector. If you are not sure, call us and we will work through it with you before you spend anything.
