About the letters at the end of the part number

The suffix letters on these modules indicate the calibration revision. They do not change which vehicle the unit fits, so a module ending in a different pair of letters is still the correct part. Rule these out before replacing the module

If your scan tool reports no communication with the PCM, or several unrelated codes appear at once, the module itself is the likely source. The codes worth looking for are P0600 for a serial communication link fault, P0601 for an internal memory checksum error, P0606 for a processor fault, and P0700 which points to communication between the PCM and the transmission module.
