What the BCM controls

Unlike the engine computer, the body control module runs the electrical systems around the cabin: interior and exterior lighting, power locks and windows, wipers, the horn and chimes, and on these vehicles the anti-theft system and remote keyless entry. It also monitors things like brake fluid level and door ajar switches.
