Where the module sits

On the Challenger the PCM mounts under the bonnet on the passenger side near the cowl. Access is straightforward once the air intake tube is removed.

Rule these out before replacing the PCM

A weak battery, corroded grounds or a failing Sentry Key signal can all imitate a dead computer. Internal fault codes in the P0601 to P0606 range, covering memory, programming, KAM, processor and RAM faults, are the clearest evidence that the module itself has failed. So is a complete loss of communication with a scan tool.
